First Full-Body Test Completed

July 23, 2007- Stratotech Park, AB: The Fusion FRC-07 completed it’s first test with the new body in fine style. “It was a short test” said Fusion president, Dennis Bainbridge “but we accomplished our goals.”

The car was stable, well balanced and very strong. Check out the video and pictures in the images area of the site.

The Stratotech test came the day after having the car on display in the GT paddock of the Champcar race in Edmonton (click here to see videos & pictures). The track is 40 minutes North of Edmonton so it was a perfect opportunity to test the car.

Next on the schedule is a trip to Mission Raceway Park Aug 18-19 for the CACC race weekend.

Dennis Bainbridge to Drive at Edmonton Champcar Event

July 19, 2007 - Dennis Bainbridge, president of Fusion Racing has been asked to drive for the Canadian Western Aggregate race team in the GT race at the Champcar event, July 22, in Edmonton AB.

“I am very excited about this opportunity to drive for a top notch team like CWA.” said Bainbridge, “We knew they would not allow us to run the Fusion car because of the weight differential, so I started putting out some feelers that I was available and was ecstatic when Roy asked me to drive his second car. It is the first chance I have had to drive a top car like this without a co-driver at a big event so I am really looking forward to it”.

The Canadian Western Aggregate team is based in Grande Prairie Alberta and headed by Roy Isley. Roy will drive the primary car  which is a full on Trans Am car from the now defunct series.

Dennis will be driving a car that has undergone quite a change since he last drove it with Roy back in the 2004 season.
